Established in 1997, Lorese Salon has been family owned and operated for 25 years in Yorktown, NY. We provide you with a range of highly trendy haircuts, styling, coloring, make-up and waxing services. Our team of hair stylists and colorists are highly skilled and experienced.

With over 20 years of experience, Jules is a PNC Boces graduate, and has received advanced training in hair color from the NYC Wella Studios. She specializes in all phases of hair color, including corrective color, foiling, & balayage. She is also a licensed esthetician with an education from Atelier Esthetique NYC, specializing in make up for all occasions ( including airbrushing). Jules also enjoys spending time with her little boy, Danny 5 & husband of 8 years.

Lyns career began over forty years ago when she studied cosmetology at Boces. She has worked at a few salons before she landed at Lorese Salon for the past twenty one years. Lyn has had an enormous amount of education throughout her career. She has had advanced education countless companies including Redken, Jingles & Wella. She specializes in color, highlighting, perms, up do’s, styling & hair cutting. She takes pride in pampering her clients & treats them like family. She & her husband ,of over 40 years, are the proud parents of three amazing children. She value her her family & the time she gets to spend with them. When Lyn isn’t being artistic at Lorese she spends time Scrapbooking with her family and friends She is happy to have chosen a career that allows her to expand her creativity & love for beauty.

Kathy Cantamessa
Salon Owner, Master Hair Stylist & Cutter

Kathy’s beauty career began over 27 years ago when she attended the Boces program. She worked in Mt Kisco for a short time as an assistant before she landed in her forever home at Lorese Salon. Throughout her career she has been fortunate to train with some of the best Stylist as well as take Vidal Sassoon cutting classes and attend Wella cutting classes in Manhattan.

Kathy has had the opportunity to volunteer her time with an amazing program through the American cancer for over 12 years. Helping woman feel good about themselves has been one of the best parts of her job.

Kathy has two adorable little boys, John & James who have completed her and her husband's (Dan) lives. They definitely enjoy anytime they have together. Kathy says the years that she has spent behind the chair have passed by so quickly because she has learned so much through her clients and has enjoyed the journey that she has been blessed to be on.

Maria Menniti
Master Colorist, Cutter, & Stylist

Maria has been in the beauty industry for 23 years. She has worked as a stylist at Lorese salon for 23 years. She attended Boces cosmetology night program while she worked at Lorese Salon as an assistant. After she received her license she continued her education by working under our senior colorist Loretta and by taking classes through Wella Studios in Manhattan for both color and hair cutting. One of her specialties is curly hair. She’s a master at cutting and blowing curly hair straight. She happens to have many years of experience with it since my own hair is extremely curly. She also specializes in complete hair transformations.

“It is another thing I love to do along with updos and color corrections”.

In her spare time she is an incredible baker and does specialty cookie and cake orders. She enjoys family time with her two amazing boys Anthony,16 and Dominick, 12 and of course her wonderful husband of 20 years.

Joanie has been Lorese’s receptionist for over 10 years. Her skilled scheduling will alway make you feel like a priority. She understands the value of a busy schedule & will always do her best to accommodate anyone. Along with her other numerous responsibilities, Joanie manages our staff. She is tactful and right hand to the entire Lorese team. Joanie has lived in Yorktown for over 30 years and has two amazing children along with a son in law and daughter in law. He most recent treasures are her 3 beautiful grandchildren, when she’s not working at Lorese she enjoys time with them!

Loretta Farese-Ellias

Loretta has been in the salon industry for over 28 years. Not a day goes by that she isn’t greatful to be a hairdresser. She has grown up in the business and has learned valuable life lessons that she couldn’t of learned in School. Throughout Lorettas career she has met the best of the best. Loretta values education and loves to learn new techniques. She also thinks its very important to keep going back to school even if its basic color class. Loretta’s style depends on the client, she can be conservative or avant guarde. She loves to be creative and make people beautiful. Lorettas education has been with Wella & Vidal Sassoon where she was clasicly trained. Her newest adventure after 20 plus years is cutting hair. Loretta promise to herself and her clients that she will never stop learning. Loretta also enjoys time with her 3 boys and her husband.

Rachelle Porteus

Rachelle has been a stylist at Lorese for over 14 years. She has trained under Aveda and Wella professionals along with many various artist for over thirty years. Rachelle is a stylist and colorist who enjoys all aspects of hair design but specializes in razor and precession cuts. She loves using the razor to get a very personalized free form haircut that compliments the clients face structure and texture of hair. Rachelle believes being a hairdresser is more then just a job, its a way to connect with people and make an impact on their lives. Rachelle enjoys spending free time with her husband who’s her high school sweetheart and their 3 amazing sons!
